ZERUST® ZerioTec® Fog MV
ZERUST® ZerioTec® FOG-MV is a ready-to-use, water-based Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) liquid engineered for fogging and spray applications to protect metals within hermetically sealed or sealable systems.
ZerioTec® FOG-MV provides vapor-delivered corrosion protection for multi-metal assemblies commonly encountered in oil & gas, power generation, mining, and heavy industrial environments. Corrosion-inhibiting molecules disperse throughout enclosed spaces, where they diffuse and adsorb onto metal surfaces, protecting piping, vessels, tanks, turbines, generators, and other static equipment during preservation, layup, or post-hydrostatic testing.
Unlike contact-film rust preventatives, ZerioTec® FOG-MV relies primarily on VCI vapor transport to migrate throughout sealed enclosures, forming a protective molecular adsorption layer on metal surfaces, including hard-to-reach internal areas, voids, and crevices. Effective protection requires the system to be sealed to retain the VCI atmosphere and prevent dilution by air exchange.

Application Guidelines and Removal
- Fog or mist into enclosed void spaces
- Typical application rate: 0.2-0.4 L/m³ (0.05 – 0.11 gal/m³)
- Application temperature: 41-120°F (5-49°C)
- Seal system immediately after application to retain VCI concentration – requires hermetic or near-hermetic sealing
- If removal is required, use a suitable neutral or alkaline aqueous cleaner*
