ZERUST® Axxanol™ Z-Maxx Series

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

ZERUST^® Axxanol^™ Z-Maxx Series consists of two products, Axxanol^™ Z-Maxx and Z-Maxx LV. Z-Maxx is a thick NLGI 2 grease and is also offered as a lower-viscosity (LV) NLGI 0 grease designed for improved spreadability and light lubrication of complex geometries.

Both products are ready-to-use, heavy-duty rust preventive greases formulated to provide long-term corrosion protection and temporary lubrication for carbon steel and multi-metal assets. They form a translucent, persistent protective film that shields metal surfaces from moisture, oxygen, and aggressive contaminants in harsh industrial, marine, and coastal environments.

When used in combination with ZERUST^® Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) packaging and enclosure solutions, Axxanol^™ Z-Maxx products provide extended protection for equipment and components during storage, layup, mothballing, and transportation, including offshore and overseas shipment.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES AND REMOVAL^*

Axxanol Z-Maxx and Z-Maxx LV are supplied ready for use and may be applied by brushing to clean, dry metal surfaces. Typical application temperatures range from 13 to 176°F (-11 to 80°C). For best results, ensure surfaces are free of dirt, moisture, and existing corrosion products prior to application.

For brush application, use natural bristle brushes and avoid contaminating the original container. Decant only the amount required for immediate use.

For extended preservation, coated assets should be enclosed in ZERUST^® VCI films, wraps, or storage systems to provide a combined contact and vapor-phase corrosion protection system.

Removal prior to commissioning, inspection, or further processing can be accomplished using compatible ZERUST^® AxxaWash^™ aqueous cleaners, commercial alkaline cleaners, or suitable solvent cleaners.

Storage

Store in original, tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry area at 50-90°F (10-32°C), away from direct sunlight, for up to 2 years.
