ZERUST Integrity Solutions®, a division of Northern Technologies International Corporation (NTIC), supports industrial clients worldwide through NTIC’s corporate headquarters and research facilities located in Circle Pines, Minnesota, USA.

While portions of ZERUST Integrity Solutions® research and corrosion testing operations were formerly located in Beachwood, Ohio, laboratory operations and technical capabilities are now fully centralized within NTIC’s Minnesota research and development facilities. The Minnesota laboratory serves as the primary hub for research, product development, analytical testing, corrosion evaluation, and technical support across the global ZERUST® network.

In addition to NTIC’s primary laboratory operations in Minnesota, ZERUST® also conducts product development, corrosion testing, and field validation activities through specialized partner laboratories and field environments worldwide.

 

What is the primary role of the ZERUST® laboratory facilities?

The NTIC Minnesota laboratory supports a wide range of research, testing, and technical service activities, including:

ZERUST® laboratories utilize specialized analytical and corrosion-testing equipment to evaluate corrosion protection performance in demanding industrial environments. Testing capabilities include exposure conditions involving humidity, cyclic temperature variation, salt environments, and corrosive gas environments containing Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S), Sulfur Dioxide (SO₂), and Carbon Dioxide (CO₂).

These testing capabilities support preservation, corrosion mitigation, and asset integrity applications across industries including energy, petrochemical, marine, infrastructure, mining, manufacturing, and industrial preservation.
