ZERUST^® ActivPak^®(LS)-35 custom corrosion inhibitor lead assemblies (622); custom corrosion monitoring coupon assemblies (62).

Inhibitor Delivery System
Custom lead assemblies fed into each segment through a cutout in one end cap with a push pipe; the cutout was then patched and sealed.

Project Details 

The 622 segments were stacked in lay-up, some with missing or damaged end caps. Each received a lead assembly pushed in through an end-cap cutout, which was then patched and sealed, and 62 also received magnet-mounted monitoring coupons. Staggered shipments and one day of wet weather paused work briefly.

Outcome & Recommendations

All 622 segments were treated and about 40 end caps were replaced. Leave the coupons in place for six months, then remove them and send them to ZERUST Integrity Solutions^® for analysis.
