Project Details:

The original tank floor was removed for replacement, leaving the sand base exposed and the tank roof absent. ZERUST Integrity Solutions^® top-dressed ZERUST^® Zerion^® FAN-6 powder over the sand bed with a spreader at about 400 g/m². Rain halted work after part of the bed was treated, and a metal sheet covered the treated area until the weather cleared.

Outcome & Recommendations:

The installation team was to finish the application once the weather cleared, then install the new tank floor. ZERUST Integrity Solutions^® recommends sealing the chime area with polyurethane construction adhesive at that stage.
